“Dave Grohl smash!”
The Boys Named Foo I curse the fact that I was born about 15 years too late to snag a great-looking, grounded, smart, and hard-rocking guy like Dave Grohl [“The Tao of Foo,” November]. Let Dave know that if things should ever go awry with Jordyn Blum, I’m legal in five months and willing to relocate. Until then, I’ll just swoon over this wonderful cover.

The Foos cover story was phenomenal. They definitely broke the mold with their band, and Steve Almond’s article does them justice. This piece shows the heartfelt dilemmas involved in deciding to play ball with Wal-Mart and maturing both as a band and as individuals. I walked away feeling that my Foos have grown up, not sold out.

Am I to understand that eight pages about four middle-aged guys playing with their kids and talking about getting old is supposed to be interesting? Foo Fighters are my favorite band, but the article made them sound like the lamest dudes in the universe.

disgusting. Brad Nowell meant a lot to us fans, and we took it very hard when he passed away. I think Badfish should know that they lost any chance of having people listen to their music because of their arrogance.

From Sublime to the Ridiculous Brad Nowell died long before I got the chance to see him lead my favorite band, and I’m glad that Badfish have carried the torch for Sublime [“Keep Sublime Alive,” November]. I know they’ve taken a lot of heat for what they do, but Brad wanted his music to be immortal, and Badfish are simply carrying out a fallen legend’s wishes.

All Kidding Aside I was dismayed to read the article about Kid Rock [“Kid’s Nation,” November]. Why did you allow this talentless has-been to write his own comments? His views on everything were jaded, stupid, and misinformed. Please do better in the future.

I just want to let you guys know how angry your interview with Badfish made Sublime fans. The disrespect Badfish showed to the very band that gave them all their material is
