MORE ABOUT WEEN

Some bands venture to idyllic, secluded locales to create albums. Ween, however, rented a shithole in their hometown of New Hope. Their latest, La Cucaracha (Rounder), was conceived and recorded in a dilapidated 200-year-old farmhouse that the duo were actually hesitant to revisit for this photo. “I’m gonna have to smoke and drink my way through this shoot, to keep my mind off the state of this house,” says Dean. “We’re pretty sure an old man died in this room. It’s got a really bad, creepy vibe.”
