“This past year has taught me something I’ve never had before,
which is stability,” Chan Marshall recently said. That newfound
comfort has found its way into the sultry Southerner’s live
shows. Rather than melt down during a feedback-plagued
performance, she played it for laughs. “Bye-bye,” she pouted
early in the set, before following it up with, “Just kidding!”
