If you listen closely, you can hear the buzz.
All I have to say regarding your Vampire Weekend cover [March] is bravo! This is why I love Spin—if you believe a band rocks, you will put them on the cover. I love that you’ve had Modest Mouse, Pete Doherty, TV on the Radio, and Franz Ferdinand on covers (the list goes on!).

Vampire Weekend are doing something right if they made their television debut on Letterman and their first cover story was for Spin. I hope the media continues to give them as much attention as their career progresses.

Your Vampire Weekend feature proves these privileged preps are just as boring as their music. Hype is all they have going for them.

Editor’s note: Er…that would be John Hughes’ go-to actress. We guess that makes things even.
Don’t Stop the Music I disagree with Jeff Gordinier’s rant [“Once Only, With Feeling,” March]: Is too much music from one artist a bad thing? Traffic Troubles I was filled with sorrow by your article on Switches [March] and the accompanying “Fast Fact.” In most cases, “middle-aged Asian women selling their bodies above an electronics shop” are doing so under extreme duress; the “groans” Switches heard while practicing were women being forced to sell themselves. To treat that like amusing trivia is appalling.
