“Tea parties and projectiles.” That’s how singer/guitarist
Keith Murray sums up this particular night. “Before the
show, I stood around eating cake with fans. But as soon
as I got onstage, someone threw a sneaker that hit me
right in the chest,” he says. Don’t get the wrong idea,
though. “If they throw something at you in Manchester,
it means they like you. I look at my bruise with pride.”
