Playing in front of a hometown crowd, the sharp-dressed indie poppers
had one particular concern. “We all wear very tight jeans,” says
guitarist Ryan Wilson, “and they tend to split in the crotch. I’ve gone
through five pair in the last few months.” Despite their scissor-kicking
fervor, Wilson says the quintet emerged fully intact. “Our families
were on the guest list. It would have been quite embarrassing.”
