PERIODICALLY, WE USE THIS space to acknowledge some of the great charity work being conducted by our marketing partners. As we near the third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, I’d like to tell you about the fantastic program the Patrón Spirits Company is spearheading to help rebuild New Orleans.
This summer, Patrón has partnered with New Orleans’ St. Bernard Project and Preservation Hall Music Education Program to create a national fundraising initiative called the Music in Motion tour. Go to the Music in Motion website ( musicinmotiontour.com) to set up a fundraising page. The participants who raise the most money will be eligible to win a variety of prizes, including a trip across America with three friends in a vintage 1927 train car—the Patrón Tequila Express—and a paid trip for two to the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
The Patrón Tequila Express has been traversing the United States over the late summer promoting this excellent cause. Events have been planned for New Orleans, Indianapolis, Chicago, Baltimore, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and New York. Please continue to check the Music in Motion website for the train schedule.
