1SNOWBOARD “My fiancé, Trevor Andrew, is a pro snowboarder, and he designed this board—it’s a snapshot of our year together with our friends. There are photos, train tickets, some luggage tags, a Supremes sticker, the cover of a Santogold mix tape, and an image of Spank Rock’s Yo Yo Yo Yo Yo tape.”

2ELVIS POSTER “I’m not a big Elvis fan—I have issues with the way he went about getting his musical influences and not crediting them— but I like all the things about him as an icon, like his performance style. And his hair.”
3LADY OF GUADALUPE “I got her in Puerto Vallarta. My bedroom is blue, so I was thinking the blue malachite on the blue wall would be amazing. I’m not a religious person, but I’m spiritual.”
4HEART-SHAPED BOX “I always like to talk about what tattoos I would get, even though I don’t think I’ll ever get any, and I once told Trevor I wanted an anatomical heart. So for my birthday he gave me this, and inside was an anatomical heart necklace he’d had our friend make.”
5LATCH-HOOK RUG “My friends were on one of those shows like Trading Spaces, and their house came out looking really ugly. I went over and this was in the hallway. I was like, ‘Wow! Where did you get this?’ They said, ‘Please, take it. We hate it.’”
6ANIMAL PILLOWS “These are from a store in Williamsburg. I started with the owl. Then I got a pigeon. Then a little pink deer. I really did end up with too many of them. There’s nowhere to sit.”
7PALM TREE BOOTS “I saw these in a window while Trevor and I were driving by, and I seriously said, ‘Stop! Back up the car.’ I like palm trees. Maybe it’s subconscious nostalgia for the ’80s, but I don’t even want to say that, because I’m not crazy about the ’80s.”
8WAD MAGAZINE COVER “My friend is a fashion designer, and that’s her naked in this photo. She sold me a denim jacket once on the condition that I promised to wear it upside down. I lied and said, ‘Of course I will!’ ”

9DRAWING OF PRESIDENT BUSH EATING A BABY “Mike Frank, who designed a record cover for my old band Stiffed, is one of my favorite artists in Philadelphia. He gave me this print for my birthday one year. I think it means that Bush is ruining the future.”
10ASTROLOGY JOURNAL “I’m into astrology. I’m definitely a Libra: Everything needs to look nice, I can be a little bit cold emotionally, and I’m really good at seeing both sides of things.”
