Playing within the cozy confines of a concert tent in
downtown Manhattan gave the Bird and the Bee’s Inara
George the opportunity to do some test marketing. “There
was a guy standing right beside the stage,” she says, “and after
we played [new song] “Love Letter to Japan,’ he yelled,
That’s the hit!’” Does George agree? “I’m not sure, but the
label thinks so.” Hey, two out of three ain’t bad.
