For Japanese psych-metal monsters DMBQ, America is a land of many
pleasures. “We like this country very much,” says singer-guitarist Shinji
Masuko (right). “The people here know how to enjoy rock’n’roll.” Oh,
but there’s more. “We like American music. We like American food.
We like American highways.” Care to elaborate on that last one? “We
like to buy fireworks on American highways.” It’s the little things.
