recognized Brandon and came

over,” says the photographer.

“They said they knew his uncle.

He had no idea who they were

talking about.” The Los Angeles

Entertainment Weekly, and

The New York–based writer

caught Animal Collective at a

relaxed moment at the Dream

House exhibition. “The guys were

psyched to take off their shoes

and just lie down,” he says,

adding that nostalgia may have

been a factor. “Avey Tare took his

wife there one of the first times

they hung out.” Battaglia is an
