LORDI

The Fillmore at Irving Plaza, New York City, Monday, November 24, 2008

Mr. Lordi may look fearsome, but his scabrous flesh hides a sensitive soul. “It is lonely being in Lordi,” laments the frontman for the Finnish metal monsters. “It takes us hours to get ready for a show. We never have time to meet other bands.” Does the solitude ever lead to thoughts of quitting? The singer’s voice hardens. “It’s a shitty job,” he says, “but somebody has to do it.”
