“It was amazing to see the
culture that’s sprouted up around
these videos,” says Kushner of
the user-generated contributions

computer and a camera for your
shot at fame.” The New Jersey
writer’s new book, the suburban
civil-rights chronicle Levittown
(Walker & Co.), is out now.
Favorite band as a teenager:

Natasha Khan had no qualms
about getting creative with her
clothing, according to stylist
Chow. “She has a great sense of
style of her own,” she says. “She
has such fun with fashion—we
had dressed her in Marc Jacobs
and Yohji Yamamoto, and she
wrapped herself in a hot-pink
tinsel boa.” Chow has also
worked for Interview, V, and
Rodeo. Favorite Bat for Lashes
song: “What’s a Girl to Do?”
Danielle Levitt Cyberstalking (page 52)
Web celeb Amor Hilton charmed the New York–based photographer with her advanced communication skills. “I have fantasies of winning the world’s fastest text-messaging competition,” says Levitt, “but Amor might actually rival me.” Levitt’s work has appeared in
V and GQ. Her first book, We Are Experienced, is available now from powerHouse. First album: Duran Duran’s Rio

Ramones Tributes (page 62) Prindle says he never intended to amass such a huge collection of Ramones tribute albums. “When I started collecting, there were only about ten of them,” he says. “Now, at the rate they’re churning them out, I doubt I’ll ever own them all.” The New York–based writer has been posting interviews and record reviews at markprindle.com for 13 years. Favorite Ramones song: “Blitzkrieg Bop”
