He’s not shy about showmanship, but Slipknot’s Corey Taylor is happy to leave the hydraulics to drummer Joey Jordison. “We’ve had that thing in our set since 2001,” says the frontman. “The fans love it, but I’m glad I don’t have to deal with my own rotating, elevating riser. I have a hard enough time remembering the words without worrying about whether or not safety catches are gonna hold.”
