“I can’t play an instrument,” says Kaiser Chiefs lead singer Ricky Wilson, “so rather than just stand there when the band is playing, I’ll run through the crowd to a riser in the middle of the arena.” The idea wasn’t born out of bravado. “I don’t have the confidence to stay still and chew gum and stare at the audience like Liam Gallagher— if confidence is the word.”
