“Lollapalooza was incredible,” says Ben Bridwell, the alt-country rockers’ cowboy-hatted singer-guitarist. “Lou Reed played before us and ran late, so we were waiting around with our adrenaline pumping. Then we went out there—and maybe the crowd was perfectly drunk or something—but the energy was unbelievable. We got offstage and were dumbfounded at how awesome it was. That’s the best feeling in the world. ”
